Airport Regulated Pricing

Designing airport pricing structures requires both financial rigour and regulatory insight. I develop aeronautical pricing models that comply with New Zealand’s regulatory framework while remaining practical for airports and airlines. Through detailed financial modelling and consultation, I help establish transparent, defensible charges that balance fair returns with sustainable long-term growth.

Passenger Forecasting

Forecasting passenger demand is critical for infrastructure planning and slot allocation. I build models that integrate economic trends, market dynamics, and operational constraints, drawing on experience in network planning at Air New Zealand and business development at Auckland Airport. From long-term forecasts such as the ZQN Masterplan to short-term capacity planning, my work provides a clear evidence base for confident decision making.

Insights and analysis

Transforming complex aviation, tourism, and economic data into practical solutions is at the core of my work. Using Excel, Power BI, and R, I create models that reveal trends, evaluate capacity, and support strategy. My analysis spans passenger demand, operational efficiency, and market assessments, ensuring insights are both clear and actionable. This turns data into a tangible advantage for airports and stakeholders alike.

  • Built a robust and transparent aeronautical pricing model aligned with Commerce Commission guidelines. The model maintained fairness for airlines while supporting financial sustainability, improved usability, and enabled scenario analysis for future planning.

    Long term passenger forecasting. Introducing L3 Slot Coordination. And managing regulated airport pricing.

  • The project developed an efficient and fair scheduling system for Milford Sound Port to manage increasing demand while ensuring safety and operational effectiveness. Through data analysis and stakeholder consultation, a structured scheduling framework was created, including defined parameters, a baseline schedule, and scheduling rules. The final system optimizes resource use, aligns boat movements with port capacity, and minimizes delays and operational risks.
